Ways to Support Juneau Animal Rescue (JAR) while Shopping ​

ROUND UP WITH LOCAL CHANGE:
You can shop to support JAR when you round up your Local Frequency purchases with Local Change!
Here's how to set up your rounding donations in the Local Frequency app 
  1. Download the app at juneau.localfrequency.com/
  2. Go into 'Settings' and select 'Setup Local Change'
  3. Pick how you would like to round-up your purchases
  4. Confirm that the details are correct
  5. You're all set up. 100% of your contributions will be given to the non-profit you choose app
CONSIGN AND SHOP AT ALASKAN DAMES:

  • Consign your gently used clothes at Alaskan Dames under the JAR account.  You can use your e-mail address or ours: [email protected]. When your clothes sell, they raise money for the shelter.
  • Bring your own bag to shop at Alaska Dames. If you do not use a bag for your purchases, Alaska Dames will give you a nickel to place in their JAR donation box.

  • Set up JAR as your Fred Meyer’s Rewards charity, then shop. It won't cost you an extra cent, and YOU get to keep your fuel points. Whenever you use your Rewards Card, you will be helping JAR earn a donation from Fred Meyer.
To set up Juneau Animal Rescue as your Rewards Card charity follow these steps:
  1. If you already have an online Rewards account: Go to the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program at: https://www.fredmeyer.com/topic/community-rewards-4 & sign in.
  2. Scroll down to "Link your rewards card now community rewards" and click "Enroll".
  3. Set JAR as your charity of choice by entering our charity number, which is 87526.
  4. Then select JAR and click enroll. You should then see JAR listed under the Community Rewards Organization Name.

  1. If you don't have an online Rewards account set up: Go to the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program at: https://www.fredmeyer.com/topic/community-rewards-4 and click on "Link your rewards card now".
  2. Create an account by entering your email and a password. Then uncheck "Email me! Yes...".
  3. Enter your zip code and click "Find" to select a local Fred Meyers.
  4. Click "Create account"
  5. On the next page add your Fred Meyer Rewards Card number and your last name. Click "Save"
  6. Set JAR as your charity of choice by entering our charity number, which is 87526.
  7. Then select JAR and click enroll. You should see JAR listed under the Community Rewards Organization Name.
