Spaying & Neutering Services

Juneau Animal Rescue believes that the best solution for pet overpopulation in our community is through spaying and neutering.
We spay and neuter all cats, dogs, rabbits before placing them into adoption.

Juneau Animal Rescue has also entered into a partnership with Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center to provide low cost spay and neuter surgeries for individuals who meet nationally set low income criteria for the State of Alaska.  Individuals who do not meet these criteria will pay the regular price for surgeries.  (See chart below)

Regular price spay & neuters can be paid for and scheduled directly through Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center. A discount coupon will be given to individuals paying regular price who are referred through the Juneau Animal Rescue. Please present your discount coupon with your paperwork at Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center. Call Southeast Alaska Animal Medical Center at 789-7551 for a price quote.

Low Cost services are not available through Juneau Animal Rescue for individuals who want to have one animal spayed or neutered but who choose to breed their other animals. However, if you have more than one animal needing surgery, please talk to us.

The cost of this life saving surgery will vary depending on the size and sex of the animal, the number of vaccinations required, and whether you are choosing to have your pet microchipped.
